In this article I present to you the preparation of a mix to be prepared in a boule to serve as an aperitif or digestive (better still) during a party in a public place or a house party. Simple but effective. It was reported in the 1987 book "Bar Story destination shaker" which is nowhere to be found.
The authorship of this drink goes to the famous bartender Mauro Lotti who at the time of the publication of this book was the Chief Barman at the Grand Hotel in Rome. Simple preparation, in a jug or bowl put many types of fruit and citrus fruits to your liking, well washed and if possible with the peel, if you can avoid fruit that oxidizes quickly or loses consistency such as bananas for example, add a 4- 5 cl of maraschino, in my opinion also add 3-4 cl of liquid sugar to soften the asperities of citrus fruits and complete with a liter of vodka. The recipe in the book recommends keeping in the fridge for 12 hours to allow the alcohol to extract the aromatic components from the fruit and then go to the freezer to block this extraction. Then serve fresh from the fridge and to savor the aromas and very fruity taste of vodka.
